As human beings we are naturally resist change. We want to stay safe and comfortable even if that means being stuck and unhappy. That is why your mind might be telling you “it’s not that bad or you can do this on your own.” The truth is if it wasn’t that bad you wouldn't be reading this and if you could do this on your own you probably would have.
Here are 4 Questions to Help You Clarify What You Really Want and Help You Get There.”
1. Imagine you were no longer struggling with (insert struggle), how would your life change? How would you feel? What would you do? What goals would you accomplish?
2. How do you feel your current lifestyle (your thoughts and behaviors) are supports your answer to #1?
3. What changes do you need to make to accomplish your goals in answer #1?
4. Why is it important that you make a change today? What small step can you take today?
Did you answer the questions above? If not, why? If you did, congrats! It takes immense courage to dig deep and really look yourself and your life. You are incredibly brave! The goal of this exercise is to create awareness as well as strengthen your motivation.
